I can give lessons, individually tailored to your own requirements, from basics through to advanced, including
puzzle making, miniature turning, repairs, decoration of turnings and hand thread chasing. All lessons come complete with idle banter and lots of useful turning tips, including personal safety.
My current fees are £120.00 per day, with 10% discount for those who either belong to, or join whilst with me, the AWGB http://www.woodturners.co.uk/
My day begins around 8.45 and ends around 4.30 and is split into four sessions, including lunch, which I provide. I also provide all necessary materials and tools, and I have most of these available for purchase at competitive prices.
Above all else the day is intended to be enjoyable in a relaxed atmosphere, for that is one of the main objectives of woodturning.
For beginners I would recommend a copy of Keith Rowley’s book “Woodturning - A Foundation Course” which contains lots of basic essential information on the safe and successful turning of wood.
